Pakistan Fast Bowler Mohammad Asif To Appear Before Drugs Inquiry Tribunal Of IPL

Controversial Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Asif along with his lawyer Hamid Karim will arrive in India next week to appear before the Drugs Inquiry Tribunal of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after the cricketer’s B Sample tested positive for banned substance.

“We have asked for some clarifications from the IPL on the doping case of Asif and we will travel to India next week to attend a tribunal hearing,” Karim was quoted as saying to PTI on Monday.

Asif's ‘B’ sample also tested positive for the banned substance nandrolone last Monday in Geneva, Switzerland as the content in his urine sample was 5.4, which was lesser as compared to the nanogram traces of 6.2 found out during IPL.
